and so someone went :
"teacher.. how do you pronounce r-o-u-t-e..?
she smiled for a moment.
realizing that before this she had pronounced it as RAUT.
then came the brilliant answer :
"if American means we pronounce as RAUT. if British means pronounced as ROOT."
silent moment.
note that 5 Intan '08 is NEVER silent.

we dont get it.
all of us dont get it.
HOW CAN YOU BE A TEACHER OF A FORM5 CLASS IF YOU DONT EVEN KNOW THE FORMAT OF THE PAPER FOR THE SPM EXAMINATIONS..??
i mean come on.
its our final year.
most important year.
and you barely teach us anything..??

this was what happened a few days before.
she stepped into the class and went :
"alright girls. keep all the other things away and take out a piece of paper. im going to read to you a passage and after that you all have to answer questions based on the text."
and so all of us took out a piece of paper each before she went :
"this is important arr.. better listen and do properly. this is whats gonna come out for your exams"
there was a moment of silence.
everyone was blurrrr.
and Manpreet voiced out :
"what exam..?"
the reply :
"your SPM lah..!"
another moment of silence and everyone gave each other The Look.
here she comes again.
just like we've expected :
SHE ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT SPM CANDIDATES HAVE TO SIT FOR A SPEAKING TEST. [LIKE THE FORM6 MUET SPEAKING TEST]

by then, everyone was speechless.
no one wanted to fight back anymore.
she insisted.
but nobody cared to listen or respond much.
after all, whats the point..?
not that she's gonna admit her mistake.

and hello..?
how many teachers actually use the KBSM text book to teach these days..?
i mean yes, you have to follow the syllabus; the text book.
but you DONT do it everytime you come into the class..!
hey..! what about the other aspects..?
the other parts of our paper..?
we need guidance on that toO..!
but i guess her guidance wouldnt help much.
not that she had given any so far.

we're hoping we can speak to the ketua bidang bahasa about it.
at least tell the administration bout the situation we're facing and enquire whether if there's anything we can do about it.
honestly, this is our exam year.
and the subj she's teaching is one of our .MAJOR.COMPULSORY.NO ESCAPE. paper.
